The worst conditions were between Lombardy and the Triveneto region. During the night, severe storms hit the Como region, causing flooding and landslides, which caused significant traffic disruptions. One of the hardest-hit areas was Blevio, where mud and debris flooded some roads, requiring emergency services to intervene.
Similar situations were reported in other regions of northern Italy. In the area around Brescia, and especially in the municipality of Tremosine on Lake Garda, an exceptionally intense hailstorm covered roads with a thick layer of ice, damaging numerous vehicles. Even in areas near the Swiss border, hailstorms reached significant levels, with hailstones potentially damaging vehicles.
